First of all, welcome back with a picture, Anne! You are always sorely missed here.
The picture of this Jay in the small stream is truly magical. Despite low light and kind of foggy surroundings, the picture has come out to be perfectly sharp and with natural colour tones. The eye of the bird is well seen and well captured.
Thanks and regards.
Difficult angle of exposure, but you have managed it well, Dietrich.
The eye in particular looks wonderful.
Beautiful capture, Dietrich!
It's a new species of birds for me and it is just incredibly attractive.
Sharp focus, brilliant natural colours and a lovely composition.
Nice macro, Nikos.
The shot is well composed and I like the focus on the Beetle's eye.
Good point of view, Luciano. The image is quite sharp and partial view of the upper wing goes well in the composition.
Butterflies have started making their appearance in north India too where we have severe winters.
Seen your work after a long time, Nikos.
Cute macro of this Fly on a leaf.
Pictures like this make TN worthwhile by virtue of their technical excellence and aesthetic qualities, Peter. Thanks for sharing this picture of a rare species from Georgia!
Keep posting occasionally, Peter. We love and miss your pictures.
Amazingly intact specimen, Luciano. A delightful beginning to new butterfly season.
superb sharpness! Compact cameras are doing a great job.
Perfect night shoot with fill flash, Dietrich.
The leaf frog looks just adorable against the green leaf it is perched on.
Another prize picture from Costa Rica.
Excellent capture, Satirtha! Just perfect colour tones -- especially the metallic sheen on the plumage. Some years ago when my son was residing in Gurgaon, I used to go looking for birds in and around the city (including Sultanpur bird sanctuary) during my visits from Jammu. There was an artificial wetland created by affluence from nearby residential buildings on Faridabad road where I used to find some water birds.
