Namaqua Dove (Female)
|[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista|
|I had captured this female 'Namaqua Dove' (Oena capensis) in Kruger National Park. |
I haven't seen much picture of this Dove here on TN, except a male one by a well known versetile photographer.
This Namaqua Dove is very small in size and brownish-grey in colour . Greyish-white face and greyish head. The lores are black and long graduated tail.

A stunning Namaqua Dove presented in fine detail and lovely color tones. I don't remember ever seeing this species before, it is very pretty and quite delicate looking. The exposure is perfect and the clean BG is a nice bonus which helps us to focus only on the subject. Great job!!
A perfect portrait, they used to be very rare in Israel, but now they are no so. GReetings Ori

Hi Srikumar,in effect the female of this species is very rare on TN,so your post is very useful. Another great shot made in the usual top quality,i like the elegant pose too. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano.
C'est une très belle prise de vue sur cette oiseau.
Bonne visibilité des détails et des couleurs.
Ciao Srikumar, great capture of lovely bird on beautiful lighting BG, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
Amazing capture of a lovely specie with nice colorful feathers. The shape and colors are close to Eurasian collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto), a specie of dove native to warm temperate and subtropical Asia, and introduced in North America in the 1980s.
Thanks for sharing!
