Hi, neighbour Nitin!
Both of us have posted Moths today, but yours is by far the most spectacular one.
It is a brilliant capture from dorsal POV. Your analogy with Kashmir craftsmanship is apt for the kind of superb patterns we see on its wings. The colours too are rich, rich and rich.
Well done and I do hope someone identifies it for us!

What a unique moth! Never seen before. Good sharpness and beautiful saturated colours. Nice contrasting background.
Amazing photo. The details and sharpness are excellent. I love the wonderful colors of this moth. I have never seen it before. It looks like a painting of a wonderful carpet.
Thanks for sharing!
Its definitely a Choreutis species (Choreutidae), most probably Choreutis orthogona. Its a beauty isnt it captured brilliantly and you couldnt have asked for a more appropriate BG. Maybe without the flash you would ahve got better details. But a greta capture nonetheless.
