[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
Despite cold winter conditions here in north India, this butterfly is still flying around in the lotus pond of my school. I captured it yesterday afternoon while it sunned itself on a creeper leaf.

Euthalia aconthea, the common baron, often called simply baron, is a medium-sized nymphalid butterfly native to India and South-East Asia. It flies with stiff wing beats and often glides. The wing is not flapped very far below the horizontal. It is found throughout peninsular India, except in the desert tracts, and the higher ranges of the Himalayas.

Hello Ram,
Nice image with a specie living in Asia. Exceptional details and colors.
Marius.

Hello Sir,

This is a fabulous composition with amazing light making the specimen lovely and attractive. Wished the same light had illuminated the lower tip of the right wing span. The sharpness and the details captured is worth mentioning.

TFS,
Warm Regards,
Satirtha
