I've found this small but quite attractive moth just on the wall of my home. I think it looks very nice on the orange bricks ;-)
The maximum wingspan of this species is 30 mm. The are two generations of this species in year. The first one in June, the second one ia August.
The moths are rather common - you can find them in parks, gardens, orchids and forests.

Again another beautiful shot, with an unusual and very effective comosition. I like the contrast made by the bricks with the light colours of the moth. Colours are excellent and detail very sharp.
What a great shot of moth,
very nice background,
tanx for posting
I had a whole lot of moths fluttering around the light one night in my native place in India, Chris, and I could not resist shooting them. Unfortunately, I could not manage the light well.
You have captured this moth on the wall of your house very well. The focus is perfect and details and colours are quite natural.
That is good, the background isn't but butterflys aren't "photomodels", the last desision is under tehms wings

Lovely shot, I like the way it is hugging the gap between the bricks. The Brick red sets off the lovely pale colours in the moth. Nice details
Very nice shot Chris, good macro. I like the details, sharpness and POV. Good work! This is a good composition. Thanks for sharing with us.
