This Viperine snake caught a sunfish or pumpkinseed (Lepomis gibbosus), a fish originelly from Northern America, often kept by people in their ponds because the fish eats the mosquitolarvae, but often thrown into nature and then it eats all larvae it can find, also the endangered species, which results into desastrous results. So this snake did a good job!
Picture is taken in Extremadura, just near the Rio Almonte.

After watching this for 1,5 houres, the snake couldn't get the fish inside...

Hallo Peter,

Een goede aktiefoto. Je bent op de juiste plaats en het juiste tijdstip. Het duurt dan wel een tijd voordat de slang de vis ingeslikt heeft. Maar ja, daar kan jij niets aan veranderen. Mooie zachte kleuren. Alleen jammer dat er niet meer zichtbaar is van je beide objecten. Geeft toch net niet het komplete beeld weer. De achtergrond is goed. Scherpte is ook oké. Vriendelijke groeten en TFS BOB
