BLACK HEADED GULL

|BLACK HEADED GULL|
The black-headed gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) is a small gull that breeds in much of Europe and Asia, and also in coastal eastern Canada. Most of the population is migratory and winters further south, but some birds reside in the milder westernmost areas of Europe. Some black-headed gulls also spend the winter in northeastern North America, where it was formerly known as the common black-headed gull. As is the case with many gulls, it was previously placed in the genus Larus.
The black-headed gull is a bold and opportunistic feeder. It eats insects, fish, seeds, worms, scraps, and carrion in towns, or invertebrates in ploughed fields with equal relish.

This is a nice picture of the Gull in takeoff mode. Pretty good details despite the distance. Surprisingly, this seems to be the same Gull that I saw in the Ladakh Region of the Himalayas.
Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful in-flight shot of this beautiful gull. I remember seeing the species while in Israel last year. While crossing the sea of Gallilee in a boat some of the passengers tossed bread to them which they easily caught in midair. Thanks for sharing this lovely image with us.
Beautiful picture of this Gull. I like its POV and exposure. OF left side bird in BG bit distracting, but not much. Good details and DOF.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice WE,
