[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
I remember there is a theme for these kind of captures (just missed shots),actually I was trying to make a shot of this greenfinch using my 300mm and 2x converter using fill flash,on the moment he was sitting nicely and I made my attempt to capture this colorfullbird a great tit made his approach to the feeder, anyway I thought it was quite funny and as we all know it cannot always be perfect,so here I present my contribution to just missed captures,

Hi Paul,
great "just missed" shot!
This would have made a really nice portrait of the Greendunch if it wasn't for that Great Tit zooming in yet, as you said, this is a very funny and original shot perfect for this theme :)
Thanks for sharing this.
Regards,
Joe

I love it! This has happened to me on a few occasions as well - though not in such an artful way. You subject should have been outraged! :) A wonderful "near miss" presentation -as all the details, pov, composition, and obviously dof were perfect! Cheers! Penny

Hi Paul,
Wow, that's a different look for the greenfinch! :)
I've tried to get the cardinal's doing this near-collision thing..They have a habit of going at each other regularly..The males usually spiral upwards in a tangle as they fight. The last try was close, but they both hit the edge of the frame :((
Great near miss post,
Howard

hello paul,
this happens sometimes when we miss the shot due to factors which we never presume may occur, you just missed a nice portrait shot,
tfs & regards

Hi Paul,

If only the bird knew that you've cut his head!!!!!!! Different but quite original with a great title and also a beautiful light and great sharpness of his body!!.

Hoi Paul

Dit was echt een geweldige foto, maar nu is ie ook heel leuk. Erg herkenbaar in ieder geval. Stiekem willen vogels heel graag op de foto, zo zie je maar weer. Leuk dat je deze gepost hebt, maar volgende keer weer iets moois he;) Tot snel.

TFS, Thijs
