You have good eyes to see this very well camouflaged caterpillar! It is hardly visible in the Thumb nail.
If discovered by a predator the bristles ought to be putting off!

this is a superb shot of the caterpillar. I could not even see it so well until I potted the bristles that emerged out of the tree trunk.
