A perfect shot of a copybook landing - no one will ever care of BG when the subject is full frame!! Vultures are keeping a optimum distance from you - for the viewers sake. Thanks for sharing.

great shot if I have to add critiques, the crop is fine, the background is too, the harsh light is less forgiveable, the blurred right bottom corner looks unnatural.
Still who cares if you got a timing like this

Great close-up shot of this Vulture, with that
pose and expression at the eye you shot the photo
at the best moment, great focus sharpness details.
For the posting, the hour being at 1:43, probably
because you just entered a new day, but i think
normally you have to pass more hours to can post again,

excellent picture of a Vultures in flight condition with great sharpness and colour.
this bird is now very rare in our country, but few years before it was a common scavenger bird.

Bonne coordination de la vitesse et de la profondeur de champ permettant d'apprécier le sujet dans une attitude originale.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Another beauty from your extensive portfolio for me to add to my theme "animals feeding".
Unfortunately, due to my present condition I cannot get at my bird books to ascertain whether this particular bird can be seen in South Africa.
The wingspan is impressive in relation to the size of the head, and when they land like that, claws ready to hack into the flesh, it is quite frightening: I saw one vulture circling above the house and set out to check the veld for a dead animal. Dragging my feet, it took me a while to find an Impala struck be lightening. Soon the vultures came in, like a tornado, and I became quite frightened..
Not all vultures have read the book, where it says they do not attack live meat. My toes were very much alive and too close to the Impala...
Thanks for sharing another photo from your wonderful portfolio.
