|[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista|
|Came for some feed today morning and then stood there in a calm and undisturbed pose for quite some time, allowing me to take its pictures.|
All 3 types of Doves, namely, Spotted, Collared and Laughing come to our feeder from time to time, mostly in pairs. This one, however, was all alone.
Distribution and Habitat
The spotted dove in its native range in Asia is found across a range of habitats including woodland, scrub, farmland and habitation. In India it tends to be found in the moister regions, with the laughing dove (Spilopelia senegalensis) being commoner in the drier areas. These doves are mostly found on the ground where they forage for seeds and grain or on low vegetation.

Great shot of this fine looking Spotted Dove, I love the unique speckled markings it wears on its wings and back of the neck. Similar in body color to our Mourning Doves here in Ohio, just a bit more dressed up. Well done!!

You have choose a fine POV and framing, the DOF is great,
the light is excellent, great focus, sharpness, and details,
the beautiful catch-light enhance the photo, TFS
The subject is well framed. The point of view is showing the details of the Spotted Dove. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colours. Have a nice day.
