|Here is another bird picture I took during my recent trek in Kareri lake area in Himachal Pradesh. This picture of a Streaked Laughingthrush was also taken near the forest rest house where we were staying. It was early in the morning and the area where the bird was foraging was in deep shade. It was collecting insects from the ground and as you can see, it had already collected a few of them while I took this picture. The camera settings were as follows:|
Unfortunately, I could not keep that yellow part of a plant out of the frame since the bird was moving around fast and I could not afford to miss the shot. Quite a bit of effort was required at the PP stage to get an acceptable version and a bit of noise was inevitable.
The streaked laughingthrush (Trochalopteron lineatum) is a species of bird in the family Leiothrichidae. It is commonly found in the northern regions of the Indian subcontinent and some adjoining areas, ranging across Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

Another Himalayan species from your successful trip to the kareri lake. Nice image of the thrush busy at the breakfast table. Despite the difficult lighting conditions and the limitations in the exposure, the image has come out nicely. In fact more than just being acceptable.
Thanks for sharing.

Even though the bird was hidden in the shadows you managed to photograph it very well. I like its beautiful plumage colors and unique markings. It blends in perfectly with its surroundings and is presented in fine detail. Great work!!
