[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
I'm posting this picture from my archives of 2013. I have already posted a picture from this series in which this butterfly was perched up-side-down on a part of my school boundary wall painted reddish brown and I had taken quite a few pictures of it in that position. Hope you don't mind seeing another one.

Junonia almana, the peacock pansy, is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in South Asia. It exists in two distinct adult forms, which differ chiefly in the patterns on the underside of the wings; the dry-season form has few markings, while the wet-season form has additional eyespots and lines.

Hello Ram,
This species of butterfly is always a special treat to view. I love its unique markings and bright colors. You have photographed it in fine detail and clarity. The contrasting reddish stoned background actually enhances the natural beauty of the butterfly. A pleasure to view!!

Hello Ram,
Amazing colorful specie with exceptional contrast against the background.
Thanks for visiting my gallery. I just return a few moments ago from my short trip to Danube Delta.....I will post some interesting scenes.....

Ciao Ram, great macro of fantastic butterfly, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Ram,

The butterfly is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the Junonia almana butterfly. The good luminosity is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Ram, I love your composition; the luminous sun reflecting in all its magnificence the designs and colors of this peacock butterfly; highlighting marvelously on the reddish-painted walls of this holy school, as all schools in the world are.

Hello Sir,

This is the first time that I have seen this species. The picture exhibits excellent clarity. The sharpness & the details are exemplary. The patterns and the vivid color tones captured perfectly.

Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Warm Regards,

Hi Ram,
Although I myself always prefer the "classical" position against the "upside-down" in butterfly photography, this combination of the peaacock pansy and the purple wall is so awesome that it's hard not to call this post the "photo of the day", no matter what position the butterfly is in. Abssolutely fantastic work! Bravo!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
