[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
One of the staff members staying at the bush lodge called me to come and see this strange and wonderfull insect. As you can see, the moth looks like a burnt leaf and needless to say it took me a while to actually find it. Nature is just incredible. The camouflage of this moth is just perfect.

Hello Andre, it took quite a while to find an ID for this amazing moth and some more time to find this picture again @TN yet it's better late than never I believe. The name is Mittonia hampsoni (Distant, 1897) (Pyralidae, Pyralinae). It was initially described in the genus Macna (Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 20: 17) but later assigned to his new genus Mittonia by Whalley (1964, Journal of the East Africa Natural History Society 24 (5 (109)): 47-52)
