Lhotse is the fourth highest mountain in the world. Its long east-west crest is located immediately south of Everest. The main summit of Lhotse (8501m) was first climbed in 1956, another one called Lhotse Shar (8386m) - in 1970, and the world's last peak over 8000m - Lhotse East (8414m) - gave up to Russian mounaineers in 2001. Standing under Lhotse's almost vertical wall is the deepest experience of what's mistakingly called the Everest Base Camp trek in Humbu region of Nepal.

This is a stunning capture! I like the composition and the wind blowing the snow.
