I took this on a photography day at Cotswold Wildlife Park. This Crested Gecko was a great model and allowed us to get really close... it's eyes remind me of the great eye of Sauron from the Lord of the Rings see here: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l111/SilentDespair/Heroes/lord-of-the-rings-ii-eye-of-sauron-.jpg

I hope you like it!

This species was thought extinct until it was rediscovered in 1994. Along with several other Rhacodactylus species, it is being considered for protected status by the Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna.

Without the flash reflection
Edited by:horia Gold Star Critiquer/Gold Star Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 2158 W: 224 N: 4749] (16656)

I'm sorry...i couldn't resist...i had to try this :)

The texture of the iris and that big vertical pupil are too beautiful so that i removed that flash reflection that was distracting.

Hope you'll find it useful.
